Mohammed Babangida and Politics

For more than 30 years, Mohammed Babangida was estranged from his immediate family of 9 siblings and his father and mother. In his late 40s, they reunited. But Mohammed Babangida didn’t feel they integrated into his life so smoothly, and his discomfort about the whole situation only grew. Ultimately he was estranged again, and he hasn’t kept in touch with any close kin since.
Mohammed Babangida, for this reason, has led a productive professional life—though some say at the expensive of a personal or family life. He’s currently chair to 24 big cap corporations, and is rumored to have the ear of a number of top-level governors and presidents.
